Sturgis Falls was this weekend in Cedar Falls and among the other festivities there was a Pacer gathering like you have never seen. Fifty (50) years have elapsed since some of these guys have seen one another. Here are a few photos from a presentation to John Rapp. Many of you will remember the John Rapp gas station in Cedar Falls. The CF car club called the Pacers used to hang out there during the years 1958 through 1961. Tom Otto and others decided to honor John Rapp for allowing the Pacers to gather at his station and for the positive influence John has had on their lives.
The former gas station has since been moved to West 1st Street where it has become a Visitor Information Center for Cedar Falls. It was at this site Saturday that a plaque was presented to John, and many former Pacer members were in attendance. It was a touching experience. Scroll down for some photos of former classmates, some of whom I know you will remember.
